Today’s topic is: “Write a post inspired by this word: travel.”
There are so many travel topics that I could write about. I could share another memorable road trip story or publish my bucket list of exotic travel destinations. But instead, I’ve decided to do a brief review where I’ve been. Here is a map I created online of the U.S. states that I’ve visited (in the last decade).
I figure that’s not too bad. But trips to the Pacific Northwest and the southeast are definitely in order. And of course, I’d love to visit Hawaii someday. Maybe for our 5-year anniversary, in 2018, we could convince my parents to watch the girls for a week. (Well, a lady can dream.)
My map of international travel is sadly limited: only seven countries in North and Central America in the last decade. (If I tally up my whole life, I can count Brazil in 1992.) But with all the instability going on around the globe, I’m not overly eager to venture across the oceans. That said, visiting parts of Europe is definitely on my bucket list. But in the meantime, I’ll just enjoy watching others experience that richness and variety, like in my PBS favorite I’ll Have What Phil’s Having.
Where have you been and where would you like to go someday? Share in the comments.
